mailbag 2: once again
made on june 14, 2025
hooray! more mail for the mail god!
a letter from superdude (or perhaps, two separate letters combined into one big letter) asks...
hi there superdude! i would like to once again thank you and the two other people that have sent questions. it actually means a lot (maybe not by a lot, but one day if this site does go offline and gets archived, it would be helpful for others wanting to know who i was/am). anyways...
1. i don't have a girlfriend, and haven't since the beginning (at least at the time of writing). for the most part, i've only had myself. if i did have one, it would be nice, but i also wouldn't know what to do inevitably. there are doorways i've yet to open, and windows i've yet to look through as well, i suppose.
2. i've wanted an easier way to share my works with the world for a good while now (along with mainly people close to my circle), and while social media was already something i had been doing beforehand, i had failed miserably at gaining traction on it (this was before i realize that gaining status didn't matter to me at all, and that all social media was doing was essentially wasting time, rather than making use of it). also, with the advent of shitty moderation on such platforms as instagram, tiktok, and even the site formerly known as twitter, along with the fact that making posts on there were limiting, i thought to myself "what if i just made a website to post whatever i want like the wild west days of the early web without anyone doing anything about it?" and so, we're here. this is something i've been meaning to do since... i'd say 2021, actually. some of my early sites (now defunt, of course) were made using wordpress, and while i did like using wordpress, it too was somewhat limiting in what i could do.
one day, i was casually looking for more old software (since i already had photoshop cs4 at this point), and macromedia studio 8 caught my eye. dreamweaver was one of the programs on there, and so i started an excrutiatingly long journey of getting things together. i actually took some web design courses years ago, but barely remembered anything at that point, so hadn't it been for the fact that dreamweaver's WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) interface was easy to understand, and was very accessible to me, i probably wouldn't be doing something like this right now.
3. i'd say that memory loss is something that isn't as big of a deal compared to some other flaws i might have, but one of the things i like doing to combat against it is writing down things i've done. simple, i know, but relatively effective, especially with certain things. i also will say this might be a bit of a stretch, but if you want to fight against getting alzheimer's or dementia, social interaction is definitely one of the key things i (and a good portion of other people) would recommend, because once you keep remembering people and who they are, you won't have to worry about forgetting everything. also, having certain tasks as a schedule (such as me updating this website every week) can most likely help with memory loss. basically, simple steps can help a long ways away.
4. as for the uncredited site music creator, if you know, you know. it's not exactly a traumatizing thing towards me personally. it's just someone that i don't like associating towards, because of various things they did that those around me found very terrible (myself included, as someone who tried to find neutrality between them and one of my friend groups). i apologize for essentially rejecting your question here, but it's a topic that i don't exactly like going over on this blog, so let's just leave it at that.
that's it for today's mailbag! as per usual, anyone at home can send in more questions. one day, if i get repeats of certain questions, i might put them in the questions tab on the about section as something frequently asked. that or i'll make a more fleshed out bio page.
