mailbag 1: the sequel

we finally have another email after a month or two!

 

a letter from whatislove asks...

fuck i mean hi whatislove!!!!1111 and yes, i am able to answer all 3 of these questions.

 

first off, i love the halo series, but i think after reach, it pretty much went downhill from there. i've yet to play infinite at all for the past 4 years, but i don't think it would be amazing imo.

 

halo definitely has some classics, but i'd say my favorite halo of all time has got to be halo reach. it was the last of its kind, and it not only showed, but it went out astoundingly like an alternate universe oj simpson where he kills himself during the police chase.

 

as for 2 other games that most likely take that spot, i'd say combat evolved and 3. the first halo game i played was 3, but i like combat evolved better, mainly because i had more fun on it i suppose. i remember when my first laptop died and didn't have anything for a good 2 months, so i ended up playing shit on my ibook g4. the main game i played on it was combat evolved, and playing multiplayer on it felt spectacular, and i wish i could do it again at some point, now that i have a better setup.

 

also, despite not having played reach in years, i will say that it still is the best because of how fleshed out it was, and i wish i could play the original version by itself on pc, rather than being forced to have the master chief collection that takes up 100 gb of my hard drive space.

 

second, if i could make a source mod, it would have to be a multiplayer mod based on the 1990 stephen king miniseries IT.

 

lastly, i'm combining both. i don't care if i can't choose both as an answer because it wouldn't make a difference. both peanut butter and ice cream are delicacies enjoyed by many like myself, and having to choose one or the other would be like trying to choose a favorite child.
