site overhaul v2

gentlemen, welcome back.

it's been about 3 to 4 years since i've had this website in conception, as you know. and ever since september 2022, the overall layout hasn't changed much. just aesthetics for the most part.

today, that has changed. no, not the aesthetics part. i love my overall art style too much. fuck you for thinking that, but i also respect you for doing so because it proves you care that i don't go insane. :)

anyways, so there is no more posts and about buttons. i realize that as much fun as clicking button is, i also don't like when people have to go through many submenus just to find whatever they're looking for.

because of this, i've decided to declutter that sort of mess. all of the posts sections are on the left accessible at all times. as well as that, the about page is one single page with <a> tags that are just so much fun and feels like you're browsing wikipedia on a pregnancy test.

i'm not going to hide the fact i rushed this update. i did. i wanted you to see it early because as someone who has betatested many projects in the past, i've seen various bugs along with my peers that were... catastrophic to say the most. okay, they weren't that bad, but i still feel like having people bug test my site and give criticism is kinda fun.

i also made the background black. kinda. the actual "old" background is still here, because:

1. it's not old. it has seniority, meaning it can apply for aarp and share memories about how i would always wake up traumatized from supportassist at midnight from my dell inspiron 5570. ok nvm fuck euphamisms it is kinda old xD.

2. it's a good ass background. i know you might not be able to see it with this big table in the way and all, but if you right click it, free wallpaper! what? you didn't know this? aw. :(

so, what does this mean for the future of the site?

well, it doesn't mean much. i just wanted to change it up a little bit. what i will say, however, is that updating the site for festivities is going to become a whole lot easier, as everything here is consistent and quicker to navigate. fun times.

and speaking of easier to update the site, i made a blank page, and i'm not going to hide it either. it's just a blank page for me to quickly move shit around and whatnot. i didn't have this in the previous version of the site ui, as i was stupid.

hope everyone enjoys the site update, and if you don't, that's... acceptable i guess.
